Welford-upon-Avon

Large rural garden in Welford on Avon | Project value: £55,000

Overview

Partnering with our favourite, award winning designer Lucy Bravington, we created an outstanding rural garden space for our client.

Key Features

Reclaimed Oxfordshire bricks, Raj blend sandstone paving, oak sleepers, balau hardwood decking, Cotswold chippings and black basalt setts.

Before and after

First, we removed the old lawn and underlying soil. This was full of rubble and waste as it was previously used as a dumping ground. We ended up taking away almost 130 tonnes from site during this process. We then started working, using Lucy’s intricate design, to build a complex circular garden which used materials to accent the charm of the old house and surrounding area.

Using oak sleepers and local reclaimed bricks, we formed the architectural backbone of the project. The circular fire pit and balau hardwood decking accompaniment was a personal centerpiece, truly unique in its design. We finally laid a huge 350m squared lawn and hedging perimeter to add some privacy to this wonderful garden.

Why they chose us?

A tender was put out to three local companies, and we were lucky enough to win this project and undertake an amazing transformation for some amazing clients.
